What do you miss most about home? My dog. That’s it.

What are you enjoying most about being in Thailand?  I like the nature and how nice Thai people are and how they are welcoming and open.

Personal Highlight from this week: Just surviving the airplane rides. They were tiring.

What do you miss most about home? I don’t miss anything yet. I haven’t been broken in yet… I guess.

What are you enjoying most about being in Thailand? The food, the weather, the nice people… The greenery and the gardens. It’s really green and beautiful.

Personal Highlight from this week: Learning from Thai people first-hand rather than from a computer.

Where are you originally from: I am originally from Udon Thani, Thailand

What do you miss most about home? I want to go back to my home and have a meal with my family.

What do you enjoy most about your job? We are not from the same culture, so the most interesting thing is to exchange and get to know other people’s backgrounds. It’s exciting to get to know other people’s worlds and where they have been.

Personal Highlight from this week: Trying my best to get to know everybody and making students feel comfortable with the base and my home country.

Experience: Seven years as an English/Literature teacher

Where are you originally from? Chicago, Illinois

What do you miss most about home? 

I don’t miss anything. I missed home more when I was in Oakland.

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love everything. I love that I get to interact with my students on a personal level, and I love that the classroom is project-based.

Personal Highlight from this week: I love waking up to roosters because it makes me start my day. My mornings have been purposeful and quiet.
